Added

  • Separate Offense and Defense Play Details, with Special Teams details when applicable, preserve each unit’s identity and coaching notes. Coaching focus distinguishes Our Call from the Opponent Look.
  • Save a single unit or the complete matchup to the library, a team or scout playbook, a chapter or section, and an optional folder. Create a new copy or explicitly update the selected original.
  • Extend route continues an existing manual, template, or AI-generated path from its endpoint. Existing exchange landmarks stay in place as the player continues after receiving the ball.

Improved

  • Coaching descriptions and position assignments explain the drawn scheme, offensive-line protection and blocking responsibilities, skill-player landmarks, and defensive technique and coverage jobs.
  • The ball-exchange editor suggests route meeting points, labels alignment and route landmarks, and lets coaches edit individual exchanges or preview a corrected sequence. Applying a sequence supports undo and redo.
  • FieldVision punts and field goals include the punter’s drop, kicking-leg motion and foot contact, plus the holder’s catch, placement and orientation toward the right-footed kicker.
  • The bundled offense, defense, and special-teams formations and sample plays were reviewed against football sources. Corrections include passing-concept spacing and routes, defensive fronts, shield-punt depth, protection, return and kick-block assignments.
  • Kickoff drawings follow the selected level: traditional NCAA and high-school alignments or the NFL dynamic setup. Level changes update applicable alignments; deep, squib and onside kicks use distinct ball flights and timing.

Fixed

  • Drawing a defense on an empty field creates its players and assignments. Adding an offense to an existing defense creates the required personnel before applying the concept and links man matchups to eligible receivers.
  • New-play and unit-replacement workflows clear stale routes and exchanges instead of carrying references to removed players into the next drawing.
  • Defensive assignment lines remain visible on defense-only drawings; man jobs identify the receiver matchup still needed when an offense has not been added.
  • Long snappers follow their protection assignments instead of running backward along the ball’s snap arrow on punts and field goals.
  • Exchange meeting points prevent unintended waits at the alignment when the receiver should meet the ball farther along the route. Playback follows the remaining route after the exchange.
  • Single-click player selection no longer opens an obstructing assignment panel. Player details opens it explicitly; route extension preserves the original geometry and supports undo and redo.
