AI is an assistant, not the coach
CoachGrind uses AI to help coaches move faster inside football workflows. AI may draft plays, generate route descriptions, repair geometry, create coaching notes, extract a diagram, tag plays, answer situational questions, or help explain a concept.
AI output is not a final coaching decision. Staff must review the output before teaching, publishing, printing, assigning, or running it.
Where AI may appear
- AI Coach chat and command previews.
- Generate and save play workflows.
- Edit current play workflows.
- Coaching notes, position assignments, and teaching points.
- Diagram extraction from uploaded images or PDFs.
- Play search, embeddings, tagging, and metadata assistance.
- Quality control suggestions and route repair assistance.
What may be sent to AI providers
When you use an AI feature, CoachGrind may send the prompt, current play, selected playbook context, formation details, routes, assignments, diagrams, metadata, and related troubleshooting context to an AI provider so the feature can work.
Do not enter sensitive personal data, medical information, private student records, or unnecessary player information into AI prompts.
What AI should not be used for
- Final player safety decisions without qualified human review.
- Medical, legal, financial, eligibility, or recruiting compliance advice.
- Evaluations that could unfairly affect a player without human review and appropriate program policy.
- Creating or sharing content that violates law, league rules, school policy, intellectual property rights, or another person privacy.
Accuracy expectations
AI can be wrong. It may misunderstand a scheme, invent terminology, misread a diagram, draw an invalid route, miss a rule difference, or produce an answer that sounds confident but needs correction.
CoachGrind combines AI with deterministic football logic where possible, including formation templates, route expansion, geometry repair, and QC checks. Even with those safeguards, coaches are responsible for final approval.
Training and improvement
CoachGrind does not sell private play content. We do not knowingly use private customer play content to train public AI models. We may use feedback, diagnostics, aggregated signals, and de-identified patterns to improve reliability, football terminology, route quality, and product behavior.
Reporting AI issues
If AI output is unsafe, inaccurate, biased, offensive, or wrong for your football context, contact support@coachgrind.com with the feature used and the relevant play name or prompt when possible.
